EXPEDITION HIGHLIGHTS
Providencia is an island belonging to the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina, in the Colombian Caribbean Sea. It covers an area of 17km2 and is the second largest island in the entire department. It is home to the Old Providence National Natural Park.
It is a perfect destination for divers and sea lovers, especially shark enthusiasts. It offers perfect conditions for water activities, and its visibility is almost perfect. The best thing about this destination is that you can see different species of sharks and explore a pristine marine ecosystem with incredible marine life diversity.
To get to Providencia, you must first reach the island of San Andrés and then fly to Providencia (approximately 15 minutes) or take a boat (approximately 3 hours).
In this Caribbean area, strong currents are not common, and the sea conditions are very good, making it a perfect destination for people who are going to get certified in the different levels of PADI diving.
